A POSITIVE SOCIAL IMPACT
By supporting SMSA, Agriland fosters the development of the local economy in the agricultural areas of the Kairouan region. Throughout the year, Agriland works to improve the living conditions of harvesters and implements a support program for rural women involved in the harvesting process.

PROTECTION AND REGENERATION
OF WILD ROSEMARY AREAS
Manual harvesting allows for the selective collection of rosemary sprigs, without damaging the roots.
This method ensures the preservation of biodiversity and promotes the regeneration of the plots, while respecting the plant’s natural life cycle.

A HIGH-PERFORMANCE SUPPLY CHAIN
From May to September, with a peak between June and July, the 16 alembics at Agriland’s two distilleries in the harvest area produce approximately 70 tons of certified organic and Fair For Life rosemary essential oil.

END-TO-END TRACEABILITY
A dedicated Agriland team coordinates and oversees activities, ensuring the mapping of harvesting areas and traceability from harvest and production to quality control, packaging, and shipment of the extracts.
Upcycling
Agriland has implemented an upcycling system for spent charges. Still rich in carnosic acid, the leaves are processed using supercritical CO2. The branches are converted into pellets, generating renewable energy to power the distillery’s boilers.
